Mariner Club St. Louis Trip 4.12.27

4/26/2017

On April 12, the Mariner Club headed to Josephine’s, in Godfrey, Il., for lunch and shopping before heading to St. Louis.

Our first stop, was the beautiful Bellefontaine Cemetery which has fourteen miles of curved roadways through 314 acres of beautiful views of the landscape. Our Bellefontaine Master Guide shared the stories and history of this remarkable cemetery and the city of St. Louis.  Bellefontaine has become an outdoor museum containing fine sculptures and memorial art reflecting the changing tastes of our culture.

Our last stop of the day was the Jewel Box in Forest Park which is situated on 17 acres. The recent 3.5 million dollar restoration brought this jewel back to being one of the highlights of Forest Park and one of the most admired floral conservatories in our country.

Our Mariner Club had a great time on this trip!

If you're 50 or better, we invite you to join us for a fun filled day on one of our trips.
